Here we are with release number seven, from label owner Zuni, which follows on nicely from the 'New Game' LP
by randomDisco. Here he delivers two prestigious techno cuts that certainly pack some punch to them on the very Scottish sounding 'This Auld Hoose EP'. First up is 'Freakin Mofo' that has a menacing resonant bassline alongside some quirky percussion and twisted synth underlays. Add to this some effected vocals and a relentless groove and this really is one to completely modify the direction a set is progressing in. You can tell Zuni has recently been to Holland (a journey the man regularly makes), with the 'Sound Of The Gashouder' track managing to summarise the feeling of the 3,000 capacity gasworks on a busy weekend to the letter. Huge booming kick drums, a bassline that grabs you out of nowhere and a modular synth riff that twists and turns like nothing else make this one somewhat special!
