about

Twenty years DJing experience, gave randomDisco (rD) a taste for underground electronic music. A previous release on Zuni’s UTI Records gained him respect and influence from the techno community. However, more recently rD put the one’s and two’s to one side to focus his own blend of techno. rD’s techno has cinematic quality that sits perfectly over the top of a Ridley Scott sci-fi master-piece. Expect forgotten relics and giant sentinels floating through space. Geth is the perfect scene setting force to launch the LP. Building instant pressure through filtered keys with a sinister vibe. Add to that low slung beats and minimal percussive elements to give the listener an edgy feeling of paranoia. You can’t help but believe there is something out there and it’s searching through the darkness... it’s coming for you. Gloomy atmospherics and escaping jets of steam turn up the heat before Eden Prime thumps in with a mighty kick drum, ticking percussion and a ping-pong jangling riff. Swirling atmospheric synths and a killer organ groove add plenty of hypnotic vibes. Ilos is hypnotic tech with a timeless vibe, that conjures up visions of off World exploration - it’s a chunky, blissed out journey through the cosmos. Battle commences off the planet N7 with phasing plasma and thundering claps. For almost 9 minutes this tune buzzes and fizzes before igniting to take this interstellar. An aptly named track Dugz (Scottish for Dogs) is a barking mad peak-timer that growls with techno fury before ripping the lid off with a solar attack of the senses. Expect head-mincing, whomping dug bites. Genophage keeps the momentum going with bubbling analogue intensity, what a f*cking riff and there’s no mistake. Expect a few punters banging off walls and wondering where they are after dropping this... this is evil (in a good way). Pyramid Head is an upbeat percussive driven slab of tribal techno. It’s an infectious groove, with edgy synths and stroboscopic elements. Last and by no means least is the tribal fusion of beats with warm pads. The captivating synth work of Glorious City transports the listener into a landscape of abstract futurism, an ancient civilisation yet more advanced than anything we could imagine - it’s the New Game LP.
